Leading Improvement and Innovation Teams

An experiential workshop that teaches through the life of a real process improvement/innovation team.  Participants say "This pulls it all together.  I now understand how quality works."

In small groups of 8, participants lead team meetings and learn all the functions of a team member.  They practice tools and a methodology that enables them to replicate the team process with their own groups.

In this session participants will:

Lead effective team meetings through the use of an agenda, meeting roles, and a clear aim.

Guide a team through use of a methodology designed for rapid improvement and/or innovation.

Practice team development techniques for coalescing a group into a team.

Employ tools of consensus decision-making -- e.g., brainstorming, nominal group technique, cause-and-effect, affinity diagram, multiple voting, rank ordering, and structured discussion.

Utilize effective team record-keeping methods.
